About the park borders
An archaeological survey in 2004 revealed that the current park enclosed the original cemetery except that the latter extended slightly farther west than the current park boundaries. As part of the planned work to refurbish Alma and Balaclava Streets and the services below them, Alma Street will become narrower (and one-way, probably southward). The strip of land reclaimed from Alma Street will be seeded with grass to match the adjoining park.
