I know, I know. Talk is cheap. You want to see the goods – so here you go. Click on the blue links below to view some of my writing. Just for fun, I've even included a goofy short video. It's at the bottom of the list.

I'm gradually digitizing my portfolio, and I'll add more items as they become available. Happy viewing!
The annual report of Kingston Community Health Centres. I wrote all the stories and coordinated its production.
This is the first issue of a magazine that highlights some of the cool research being done at Queen's University. I helped to structure the magazine and wrote all the major stories.
Another Kingston Life story (March/April 2012), this one about a critical rejuvenation of Kingston General Hospital.
Published in Jan. 2012, this Kingston Life magazine story describes the cancer-care system in Kingston and the surrounding region.

A cover story for the Queen's Alumni Review that won the 2006 Gold Award for English-language writing from the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education. Let the page load, then click on the red highlighted title on the left side.
This is a Facts & Arguments piece that ran in the Globe and Mail in 1997. It documents my first, and unfortunately not the last, foray into the world of stock-market investing.
In 2002, I was heavily into triathlon. In this story for the Kingston Whig-Standard, I describe how I prepared for my first big race.
I'd like to get into video work, and this one-minute movie is on of my early attempts at doing so. It depicts a scene from the action-packed life of a freelance writer. I shot everything myself, using my digital still camera, and edited it in iPhoto. (You'll need the Quicktime movie player to view it.)
